Leonardia touts budget as largest in the region

The Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) of Bacolod has approved the proposed 2020 city budget worth P3 billion on its first reading. Bacolod City Councilor Cindy Rojas, who chairs the SP Committee on Finance and Appropriation, said budget deliberations will begin next week.
During deliberations, department heads will be allowed to defend their proposed budgets.
Rojas said they are aiming for an approval by next month.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, meanwhile, said, to his knowledge, the city currently has the biggest proposed budget in Western Visayas for 2020./DGB, WDJ
