UNO-R beats USA

in women’s volleyball

The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) women’s volleyball team scored a five-set win over the University of San Agustin (USA) in the ongoing University Games yesterday at the USA gym in Iloilo City.
In other results, De La Salle University followed up their earlier 25-13, 25-12, 25-12 sweep over Colegio de la Purisima Concepción with a 25-6, 25-11, 25-6 straight set triumph over Holy Angel University.
Meanwhile, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde also scored their second straight win, beating Lyceum of the Philippines University after earlier beating UNO-R.
Lyceum also lost earlier to the University of the East.
Meanwhile, in men’s volleyball, UNO-R suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Holy Cross of Davao College and Benilde, while University of St. La Salle beat Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), and University of Perpetual Help System Laguna defeated Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod.
Earlier this week, in men’s basketball, which was played at the Iloilo Sports Complex, Colegio De Sta. Ana De Victorias secured a 94-83 win over De La Salle University-Dasmariñas; TUP pulled off a 72-68 victory over USA; while Enderun Colleges barely got past Central Philippine University with a narrow 77-76 win./ASC, WDJ
