Leonardia: Duterte will be here on Friday

Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia announced President Rodrigo Duterte, who is expected to visit the city for the ongoing MassKara Festival, is tentatively expected to arrive on Friday, October 25.
The mayor noted, his office had been in “constant communication” with Malacañan Palace since the president agreed to the invitation.
The visit will be the fourth time Duterte will attend the MassKara Festival following earlier appearance in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
Meanwhile, a contingency plan has been put in place by the police, who report there are currently no threats reported..
The mayor also appealed for the public to cooperate with law enforcement during the final week of the festivities.
Following the recent reassignment of Police Lt. Colonel Jovie Espenido to the Bacolod City Police Office, Duterte told the police official to “kill everybody.”
In a message by the president during the 45th Philippine Business Conference and Expo in Manila, he admitted assigning Espenido to Bacolod City as the locality had been “badly hit” by illegal drugs./DGB, WDJ
