San Sebastian College-Recoletos (SSC-R) closed in on a ‘final four’ slot in the 95th NCAA men’s basketball season following their recent 85-82 win over Arellano University at the San Juan Arena.
RK Ilagan carried the load for SSC-R in the fourth quarter where he scored eight of his total 20 points; Allyn Bulanadi chipped in 19 points, eight boards, six assists and one steal; and JM Calma and Alvin Capobres each had 15 markers.
“I just hope we win against the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Atlas (UPHSD Altas) on Friday,” said SSC-R head coach Egay Macaraya. He noted, a win would automatically secure them a ‘Final Four’ berth.
“Sana maka-recover ‘yung mga bata (Hopefully, the kids will recover),” the coach added.
Already making it into the ‘Final Four’ are San Beda University, Lyceum of the Philippines University, and Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
Meanwhile, Mapúa University also remained in contention for the ‘Final Four’ after their 85-81 victory over UPHSD Altas./ASC, WDJ
