Ceres-Negros FC hopes to move closer to clinching their third 2019 Philippines Football League (PFL) title in a row when they meet Green Archers United this weekend, Saturday, October 12, starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, Batangas.
The match is their fourth meeting this season with the Bacolod City-based club taking their three previous contests.
The two sides last met earlier this month with a goal from striker OJ Porteria breaking a 1-1 deadlock to secure a 2-1 win. Meanwhile, Green Archers United pulled off a 1-0 win over Stallion Laguna FC last weekend after a 45th minute goal from midfielder Stephen Appiah.
Prior to the match, Kaya FC-Iloilo is scheduled to play Stallion Laguna FC at 4:00 p.m.
Ceres FC currently sits atop the PFL table on 53 points with Kaya FC six points behind in second place with 47 points. However, the Negrense club has one game in hand./ASC, WDJ
