Two suspected drug offenders managed to escape early yesterday morning while another was nabbed following a buy-bust operation at Purok Kawan in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago.
Police identified the arrested suspect as 45-year-old Ramie Rivera, a resident of Purok Lilang in the said barangay.
The suspect’s accomplices, identified only by the aliases ‘Barok Abada’ and ‘Marites Triumpa,’ eluded capture.
Based on information provided by Police Station 3 (PS3), they moved in on the suspects after they sold one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop in exchange for P500.
A follow-up search yielded five additional sachets of suspected shabu with a total market value of P300,000.
Police are now conducting a manhunt operation against the two escaped drug suspects, while Rivera faces illegal drugs charges and is detained at PS3./DGB, WDJ
