Basilan-St. Clare forces D-League finals decider

The BRT Sumisip Basilan-St. Clare Saints forced a decider in the ongoing 2019 PBA D-League Foundation Cup finals yesterday after scoring a 74-60 win over the Marinerong Pilipino Skippers at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
Jessie Collado finished with 20 points and six rebounds for Basilan-St. Clare, while Joshua Fontanilla added 14 markers, Mohammed Pare registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards, and Jhaps Bautista contributed 11 markers.
Basilan-St. Clare set the tone early with Collado leading a 15-5 start, which grew to as much as 24 points before thwarting Marinerong Pilipino from attempting a second half run.
“Obviously, mas may energy kami ngayon especially on defense (Obviously, we had more energy, especially in defense),” said Basilan-St. Clare coach Stevenson Tiu.
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday, October 14, at Paco Arena./ASC, WDJ
