The University of Santo Tomas (UST) secured their sweep of the 82nd UAAP beach volleyball season over the weekend at the Sands at SM by the Bay in Pasay City. Babylove Barbon and Gen Eslapor captured the women’s division, while Rancel Varga and Jaron Requinton took the men’s side.
Both sides pulled off sweeps against their respective opponents with the women beating Jazmine Nazareno and Ernestine Tiamzon of La Salle University and the men defeating Far Eastern University pair Jude Garcia and Doy Barrica.
“Sobrang saya kasi ‘yung goal namin ay ma-defend ang crown (We are very happy because our goal was to defend the crown),” said Barbon, who was named MVP./ASC, WDJ
