After nearly months into his term, Toboso Vice Mayor Edgar Bartolome announced his resignation. Citing “personal business conflicts,” his resignation was effective September 30, 2019.
Mayor Richard Jaojoco said he is “saddened” by the development and noted, “He was doing well in his job.”
“I am also confident that [Municipal Councilor Jesse Rex Bartolome] would do his best for the people of Toboso,” the mayor added.
According to the order of succession, the member of the town’s Sangguniang Bayan who won the most votes in the previous election ascends to the vice mayor post.
Last month, Jaojoco was elected auditor for the Negros Occidental chapter of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines./DGB, WDJ
