San Beda goes 15-0 in the NCAA

San Beda University stretched their undefeated record in the 95th NCAA men’s basketball season to 15-0 following their recent 75-63 win over the Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
Calvin Oftana finished with 16 points and six rebounds for San Beda, while Ilonggo small forward Clint Doliguez added 13 markers, and James Canlas and Evan Nelle each chipped in 12 points.
San Beda surged to a 17-1 start behind Nelle, Canlas, Doliguez, Donald Tankoua, and John Bahio but Letran rallied and tied the game at 42-42 in the third.
San Beda then responded with a 20-0 blast behind Oftana and Doliguez and built a 62-42 lead late in the quarter.
“At least nakarecover kami (At least, we recovered),” said San Beda head coach Boyet Fernandez. “The effort of the players should be credited for this win.”
In other results, Lyceum of the Philippines University scored a 77-71 win over Mapúa University./ASC, WDJ
