PBA teams TNT KaTropa and Blackwater Elite were both eliminated from the ongoing East Asia Super League-Terrific 12 at the Tap Seac Stadium in Macau. Despite their exit, TNT closed with a 99-90 win yesterday over Niigata Albirex BB of Japan’s B.League team; meanwhile Blackwater Elite finished winless.

KJ McDaniels spearheaded the KaTropa with a double-double on 47 points and 17 rebounds; while Roger Pogoy added 12 points; and Almond Vosotros contributed 12.

The Liaoning Flying Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association won their group after earning a 2-0 record, including a close 96-91 win over TNT.

For Blackwater Elite, they formally bowed out following their 109-69 loss to Japanese B.League team, the Chiba Jets.

Chiba dominated from the beginning, scoring the first six points, and eventually took a lead of 109-67 in the final quarter.

Marqus Blakely finished with a double-double for the Elite with 16 points and 12 rebounds; while Alex Stepheson also submitted double-double figures off 12 points and 11 rebounds.

“Though we lost two games, we took it as we never lost but [as] all learning for us,” said Elite head coach Aris Dimaunahan./ASC, WDJ
