Citadines Hotel located on land owned by the Lacson family
Groundbreaking for the upcoming Citadines Hotel in Bacolod City took place yesterday. Cebu Landmasters President and CEO Jose Soberano III revealed a total of P4.3 billion will be invested in the area, which will include the hotel, six condominium towers, and a commercial complex.
He noted, the hotel, which will provide between 100 and 250 new jobs, along with boasting a 1,000-seat convention room, will be managed by Singapore-based Ascott Limited.
Soberano said the project is expected to be completed by 2022.
The project is a partnership between Capitaine, Inc. and the Santa Clara Estate. The property itself will be constructed on land owned by the family of incumbent Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.
In addition, the commercial complex will be owned and operated by the Santa Clara Estate.
Meanwhile, Soberano said the tower condominiums are already 70 percent booked./DGB, WDJ
