The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) held their annual award ceremony and appreciation lunch for Region VI earlier this week in Iloilo City. Among those recognized included entities who excelled as advocacy partners.
Negros Occidental High School was acknowledged for its work with the Coin Recirculation Program, which calls for “more efficient recirculation” of coinage by encouraging the public to regularly use coins in providing payment and exact change.
Also recognized for the program were the Stages Child Learning and Computer Preschool of Roxas City and the Iloilo National High School-Senior High School Department of Iloilo City’s La Paz district.
Meanwhile, SM City Bacolod was awarded for its work with the Clean Note and Coin Policy Program, where currency considered too worn or damaged is returned to BSP. Others recognized for the program were Tanque National High School of Roxas City and Iloilo Supermart, Inc.
Additionally, Iloilo Supermart, Inc. was also named Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP’s Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns and earned “Hall of Fame” status for the Clean Note and Coin Policy Program./WDJ
