11 schools set to join dance competition
A total of 11 Bacolod City schools are expected to participate in this year’s MassKara Festival Street and Arena Dance Competition. There will be seven competing in the elementary category and four in the secondary division.
Banago Elementary School I, Estefania Elementary School, Fr. Gratian Murray AFSC Integrated School, Jose J. Gonzaga Elementary School, E. J. Garcia Elementary School, Education and Training Center School III (ETCS III), and R.A. Medel Sr. Elementary School will be joining the elementary level; while Domingo Lacson National High School, Angela Gonzaga National High School, Luisa Medel National High School, and M.G. Medalla Integrated School will compete for the secondary crown.
During last year’s schools division, ETCS II won the elementary competition, along with nearly sweeping the special awards, taking Best in Choreography, Best in Original Music, Best in Mask, and Best in Costume.
In addition, Mandalagan National High School won the high school category. They were also awarded Best in Original Music, Best in Mask, and Best in Costume./WDJ
