Provincial Council for Women recognizes Bago City, Hinoba-an

The Negros Occidental Provincial Council for Women (PCW) will be recognizing Bago City and Hinoba-an with the Gender-Responsive LGU awards today at the Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City. The localities are being awarded for their participation in the “GeRL Ka Ba?” self-assessment earlier this year, along with joining other PCW activities over the past three years.
Awards for making contributions to the advancement of gender equality and female empowerment are also expected to be distributed. The anticipated recipients include Sipalay City, Talisay City, Cadiz City, Silay City, Kabankalan City, Victorias City, Manapla, Isabela, Moises Padilla, Valladolid, Cauayan, EB Magalona, and Calatrava.
Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer will be leading the event, alongside PCW chair, Atty. Andrea Lizares-Si; and Provincial Board Member Rita Gatuslao, who chairs the Provincial Board Committee on Women and Gender Relations.
Meanwhile, PCW will also host a mid-year forum on topics such as “Huwag ma Investment Scam,” “Women and Financial Literacy,” and “The Provincial GAD Budget Processes and Accomplishments.”/DGB, WDJ
