The PetroGazz Angels needed five sets to put away Choco Mucho Flying Titans, capturing a 25-22, 25-15, 19-25, 20-25, 15-3 win in the ongoing 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference earlier this week at the San Juan Arena.
Jonah Sabete top-scored for PetroGazz with 15 points, including 14 attacks; while Cherry Nunag chipped in 14 markers; Jovelyn Prado and Cai Baloaloa each finished with 11 markers; and Jeanette Panaga delivered six kill blocks for 10 markers.
After splitting the first four sets, PetroGazz, in the fifth, raced to a comfortable 8-0 lead as Choco Mucho crumbled and were held to three points in the decider.
