An estimated P1.4 million worth of shabu was seized yesterday afternoon following a buy-bust operation at Villa Cristina in Bacolod City’s Barangay Tangub.
Police identified the arrested as 34-year-old Maricar ‘Cecil’ Chavez, a resident of Barangay 22.
City Drug Enforcement Unit head, Police Lt. Colonel Leonardo Borromeo, said they arrested Chavez after she sold one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop in exchange for P1,000.
A follow-up search further yielded two plastic bags and six sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 225 grams.
Chavez faces illegal drugs charges and is presently detained at Police Station 8./DGB, WDJ
