City-Japan friendship set for Friday

The Ibaraki Group of the Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement, in partnership with the Bago City government and the Department of Education-Division of Bago City, will be holding “Ibaraki: A Magical Journey of Friendship through Music,” a celebration of friendship between Bago City and Japan, on Friday, August 23, at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center.
The show begins at 1:00 p.m.
According to School Governance and Operation Division chief Orlando G. Cezar, Jr., the event will feature 1,500 student performers.
One of the highlights of the Ibaraki show is the use of instruments such as the pianica, recorder, organ, and castanets./WDJ
