After capturing the 2019 Honda PBA Commissioner’s Cup last week, the San Miguel Beermen are aiming for the “Grand Slam” with the upcoming 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, which is scheduled to begin on September 20.
“We’re targeting another championship,” said San Miguel head coach Leo Austria. “Wala nang pupuntahan kami kung hindi doon sa ‘Grand Slam’ (We have no other goal except to take the ‘Grand Slam’).”
The Beermen are set to parade former NBA G-League player Dez Wells in the forthcoming competition.
The San Miguel Beermen wrapped up the Commissioner’s Cup last week after winning the finals series against TNT KaTropa, 4-2.
