The PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters scored a 25-21, 26-28, 15-25, 25-19, 15-11 win over the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers last Saturday in the 2019 Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference at the Corpus Christi Gym in Cagayan de Oro City.
Gretchel Soltones posted a triple-double off 21 points, 24 digs and 19 excellent receptions; while Jerrili Malabanan contributed 21 markers; Jasmine Nabor made 31 excellent sets on top of six points; and Aiko Urdas added 10 points.
After surrendering the second and third set to F2 Logistics, PLDT started strong in the fourth behind the tandem Malabanan and Soltones to stretch the match to a deciding set.
Both teams traded hits in the fifth frame. With the score tied at 9-all, Malabanan scored three of the team’s four straight points to reach match point, 14-10, before Soltones ended it with a kill.
