Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) director, Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, conducted an inspection last Sunday of all police units under the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO). Accompanied by deputy PRO-6 operations director, Police Colonel Harold Tuzon, regional officials checked for operational readiness and evaluated compliance with the ongoing “full alert” status.
The alert status was previously raised in an effort to prevent a spillover of violence from Negros Oriental into the province.
Earlier, the PRO-6 director directed law enforcement mobile companies in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental to identify and visit vulnerable police stations as a precautionary measure following the recent spate of killings in Negros Oriental.
He also instructed the mobile companies under PRO-6 to be vigilant and conduct more intensive border control./DGB, WDJ
