The Petron Blaze Spikers scored a 25-12, 25-17, 25-9 sweep over Marinerang Pilipina Lady Skippers last Tuesday in the 2019 Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex.
Cherry Rondina tallied 13 points, including seven attacks; while Negrense outside hitter Bernadeth Pons earned a double-double with 11 points and 14 excellent digs; Rhea Dimaculangan dished out 21 excellent sets; Frances Molina scored seven points; and Ilongga outside hitter Aiza Maizo-Pontillas had six points.
“I’m happy that all my players delivered,” said Petron head coach Ceseal delos Santos. “Fielding all of them was part of the game plan and, as I told them to get ready, they played well-prepared.”
Petron ruled all scoring departments, dominating 44-18 in attack; 7-2 in service; along with earning seven kill blocks against Marinerang Pilipina, who were unable to provide a single block./ASC, WDJ
