The Iloilo United Royals are scheduled to play a Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup game next month, September 19, against the Pasay Voyagers at the University of San Agustin gym in Iloilo City.
Royals owner Julio Jalandoni Javelosa said the team is looking forward playing before a home crowd.
“The players were very excited,” he said.
The team has nine Iloilo-based players on the roster including Aaron Jeruta, Jay Javelosa, Paul Reguera, Rhagnee Sinco, Gerry Antonio Abadiano, Andre Pantin, Jessiery Pedrosa, Jason Li, and John Mahari.
“It is rare for them to be given [the] opportunity to play in front of their fellow Ilonggos,” the coach added.
The game is part of a double header with Valenzuela Classic taking on the Mindoro Tamaraws in the first game./ASC, WDJ
