Founded on February 23, 1947, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an international standard-setting body composed of representatives from various national standards organizations. The organization promotes worldwide proprietary, industrial, and commercial standards with ISO 9001 as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system. Organizations use the standard to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
ISO certification is very vital and important to all businesses because there are clientele who only deal with companies with ISO accreditation.
There are numerous benefits under the quality management system including a business becoming more efficient and productive, which gives one an edge over competitors.
Marketing benefits can also be enjoyed because a company can reassure customers that their business follows the highest in quality standards.
The process to become ISO certified is very tedious as a company must follow specific requirements. The key to earning certification is consistency, hard work, determination, and (most importantly) teamwork.
Recently, the Silver Dragon Construction and Glass Supply earned ISO certification—the second year they have earned such accreditation.
ISO certification is an annual event and auditors from Manila conduct a surveillance audit to ensure standards set forth by ISO are being followed.
Silver Dragon management, employees, and stakeholders are proud of the achievement.
Congratulations./WDJ
