A woman died last Wednesday after falling into the Bugalo Creek in Isabela, where she drowned.
Police identified the fatality as Maria Theresa Orias, a resident of the town’s Barangay Camang-camang.
Based on eyewitness accounts, Orias was cleaning a clogged drainage canal when she slipped and fell into the creek.
The victim was then caught in the creek’s strong currents.
Her remains were later recovered by rescuers later that day./DGB, WDJ
