The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers overcame a turbulent first set to pull off a 25-22, 25-3, 25-12 sweep over the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors yesterday in the 2019 Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference at the San Juan Arena.
Kalei Mau delivered 13 points on 12 attacks, along with a service ace, for the 8-0 Cargo Movers; while Victorinara Galang added 11 markers on nine attacks and two blocks.
Down 19-10, F2 Logistics seemed headed for trouble in the first set but Mau, Galang, and Desiree Cheng led a massive run that gave them a 23-22 lead. Mary Joy Baron and Galang then scored back-to-back to complete the comeback.
After surrendering the first point to Sta. Lucia, the Cargo Movers served up 12 unanswered points from Kim Dy and Mau; their lead eventually grew to 25-3 on hits from Cheng, Mau, and Alex Cabanos.
F2 Logistics went for the kill in the third set with 12-2 start behind Baron and Michelle Morente. Contributions from Abigail Maraño, Michelle Cobb, and Aduke Ogunsanya helped seal the straight-set win./ASC, WDJ
