A bag-manufacturing factory in Bacolod City’s Barangay Tangub was gutted yesterday following an early morning blaze. Information provided by Bacolod City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) arson investigator, Fire Officer 2 Carlo Vincent Mallari, the fire started around 4:10 a.m.
The factory owner’s son, Dennis Amadeo, told Mallari their establishment has already been struck by two previous fires this year, one of which occurred in January and the second last Saturday.
Amadeo said he is becoming suspicious the fire may be a case of arson.
Mallari estimated the cost of damages at P100,000.
The BFP is presently investigating the incident./DGB, WDJ
