Governor addresses teachers’ assembly

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson addressed the 73rd Negros Island Region Teachers Federation Inc. (NIRTFI) representative assembly over the weekend at the Negros Occidental Teachers Federation Multi-Purpose Activity Center in Bacolod City and introduced his “Abanse Negrense,” which the governor said prioritizes education.
“Teachers and educators are our nation-builders,” he stressed.
The governor also said teachers are free to visit the provincial government for assistance with programs and urged those gathered to “take their calling by heart.”
Also present for the event were NIRTFI President Leo Managuit; Department of Education Schools Division Superintendent for Negros Occidental, Dr. Portia Mallorca; Moises dela Cruz of the Bacolod City Mayor’s Office; among others./WDJ
