Ott scores four goals in 12 minutes

Ceres-Negros FC put in a dominating performance over the weekend with a 12-0 annihilation of Philippine Air Force FC in the 2019 Philippines Football League (PFL) at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite. Three key players were responsible for a majority of the goals with midfielder Mike Ott scoring four goals within 12 minutes, and midfielders Bienvenido Marañón and Stephan Schröck each notching a hat trick.
The Bacolod City-based side went right to work, picking up a 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the match.
Marañón scored first in the fourth minute, midfielder Miguel Tanton doubled the lead in the seventh, and Schröck began his scoring spree in the ninth.
Schröck went on to earn a brace after a successful header in the 22nd minute, putting Ceres FC up 4-0.
Before the end of the first half, Marañón secured his hat trick after scoring in the 42nd and 45th minutes.
Ceres FC went into halftime with a commandeering 6-0 lead.
Into the second half, striker Curt Dizon kept the momentum going for the Negrense side with a goal in the 67th minute.
Ott began his run with a pair of goals in the 75th and 77th minutes; Schröck went on to pick up a hat trick in the 85th minute, which put Ceres into double digits; Ott then earned his poker following two quickfire hits in the 86th and 87th minutes.
With Kaya FC-Iloilo also successful in their weekend match, scoring a 1-0 win over Stallion-Laguna FC off a lone goal from forward Darryl Roberts, the two clubs from the Western Visayas continue lead the PFL table on 19 points; however, Ceres FC’s massive win further widened their goal difference, 31 to 15.
