Following one draw and four losses in the 2019 Philippines Football League, Mendiola FC picked up their first win last weekend with a 3-1 victory over Philippine Air Force FC at the Biñan Football Stadium in Laguna.
Striker Hamed Hajimehdi got things started for Mendiola after eluding a number of defenders and scoring in the third minute, which proved to be the only goal in the first half.
In the second half, midfielder Allen Angeles doubled Mendiola’s lead in the 58th minute. Jim Flores made it 3-0 10 minutes later.
However, in the 86th minute, Air Force defender Romeo Martinez, Jr. pulled one back for a consolation goal./ASC, WDJ
