A pregnant woman was recently arrested by City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) anti-drug operatives following a buy-bust operation at Purok Tahong in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2.
Police identified the suspect as 19-year-old Beverly Maravelis, a resident of the said area.
Based on information provided by CDEU operatives, they arrested Maravelis after she sold one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop in exchange for P1,000.
A search of the suspect yielded 17 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 71 grams and valued at P852,000.
Maravelis faces illegal drugs charges and is detained at Police Station 2./DGB, WDJ
