Creamline, PetroGazz edge closer to PVL finals

Both the Creamline Cool Smashers and PetroGazz Angels edged closer to the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference finals after beating their respective semifinal opponents last Wednesday at the San Juan Arena. Creamline scored a 26-24, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20 victory over the PacificTown-Army Lady Troopers; while PetroGazz scored a 25-19, 25-15, 21-25, 25-12 win over the BanKo Perlas Spikers.
Kuttika Kaewpin top-scored for Creamline with 21 points and 16 excellent digs, Aleoscar Blanco contributed 19 markers, Alyssa Valdez tallied 12 markers, eight excellent digs, and eight excellent receptions; while Julia Morado delivered 20 excellent sets.
Meanwhile, despite struggling early in the first set, Janisa Johnson and Wilma Salas pushed PetroGazz to a two-set lead. After dropping the third set, PetroGazz  opened the fourth period with a 16-9 advantage behind Johnson and Salas.
