Cadiz City native Renz Rosia recently captured the Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) flyweight title by defeating Arnold Garde via eighth round stoppage at the Maco Municipal Gym in Maco, Compostela Valley.
The Negrense boxer successfully snapped a losing streak; most recently falling via unanimous decision to Ponciano Remandiman in their Philippine Visayas Professional Boxing Association super flyweight title fight last April at Parkmall in Mandaue City, Cebu.
Both fighters traded early hits before Rosia capitalized midway when he unloaded consecutive combinations on Garde until ultimately sending his opponent to the canvass.
With the victory, the Negrense fighter has improved to a 15-8-1 win-loss-draw record, while Garde is left with a 10-8-3 record./ASC, WDJ
