Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Chief Operating Officer Ramon Jocson recently said their company is encouraging more clients in Negros to conduct banking transactions through digital channels.
According to the BPI official, simple transactions, such as funds transfers, bill payments, and restaurant payments, can all be done online by using their BPI Mobile app.
Jocson said, in the Visayas-Mindanao area, the digital adoption rate of clients using online and mobile app transactions is currently 31 percent, with the majority still preferring to visit branches.
“We hope to double the adoption rate, or the percentage of clients using BPI Online or the BPI Mobile app,” he said.
Jocson added, over the last three years, BPI has spent P11.6 billion in technology to build its servicing capacity and prepare its infrastructure for future services./DGB, WDJ
