The Creamline Cool Smashers came from a set down to pull off a 16-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-16 win over the PacificTown-Army Lady Troopers earlier this week in the ongoing 2019 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the San Juan Arena. Kuttika Kaewpin put away 19 points on 16 attacks and three blocks for the winning side; while Ale Blanco chipped in 16 points on 10 attacks, four blocks, and two service aces.
After dropping the opening set, Creamline swiftly evened the match in the second set and delivered clutch conversions to take the third set.
In the fourth set, the Cool Smashers turned a 13-9 lead into a 21-13 gap behind the conversions from Kaewpin, Blanco and, Alyssa Valdez.
In the other game, the BanKo Perlas Spikers scored a 25-18, 25-19, 25-21 sweep over the BaliPure Purest Water Defenders. Nicole Tiamzon led the win with 19 points; while Sutadta Chuewulim provided a triple-double with 12 markers, 10 excellent digs, and 10 excellent receptions./ASC, WDJ
