The National Archives of the Philippines, in partnership with the Negros Cultural Foundation (NCF), will hold a seminar-workshop on designing archival exhibitions at the Negros Museum in Bacolod City next month, from July 9 to 11.
According to NCF Museum Director Tanya Lopez, the event seeks to encourage local artists and cultural workers to raise awareness about the National Archives as a resource for historical research, identity, among other subjects.
The workshop will discuss subjects including basic principles of exhibit-making, exhibit conceptualization approaches, exhibit archival materials, exhibit design for low maintenance and modest budget, exhibit construction with new technologies and local crafts, and workshop/practicum.
The program is open to museum and cultural workers, tourism officers, artists, and teachers./WDJ
