Two hotels in Sipalay City filed separate complaints before the city’s police station after they were pranked by groups claiming links to Negros Occidental Governor-elect Eugenio Jose Lacson and Vice Governor-elect Jeffrey Ferrer.
Based on information provided by the Sipalay City Police Station, reservations for accommodations, food, and drinks, are made under the names of the incoming officials.
Hotel representatives also claimed the groups stole P18,000 worth of mobile phone credits, or load.
Police are now conducting a follow-up investigation.
Watchmen Daily Journal reached out to Lacson and Ferrer’s respective camps for comment but they have yet to respond as of press time./DGB, WDJ
