The PetroGazz Angels remain unbeaten in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference after their 25-22, 25-18, 25-19 sweep of the Motolite Power Builders last Sunday at the San Juan Arena.
Wilma Salas led the win with 25 points and nine excellent receptions; while Janisa Johnson had a triple-double on 13 markers, 12 receives, and 10 digs.
Salas and Johnson were on point from the start and leapfrogged on the Power Builders at the start of each set before preventing the opponent from mounting a run.
“Sa part namin talagang hangga’t maaari wala talagang magko-complacent, magri-relax (A part of us really does not become complacent and relaxed),” said Angels head coach Arnold Laniog. “The more na nananalo kami magpu-push talaga kasi maghahanda ang ibang tea, (The more we win, we are pushed to prepare for the next team).”
