Outgoing Bacolod City Councilor Em Ang, who serves as chair of the Charter Day celebration, yesterday affirmed the observance would take place on June 18.
During a press conference, she explained the full celebration will begin on Independence Day, June 12, and run until Rizal Day, June 19.
The city official said this year’s celebration will include a trade fair and “Best Festival” competition, which will be contested between barangays.
Kiosks for the trade fair will be set up at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds./DGB, WDJ
