A 2.1-magnitude earthquake was detected just north of Candoni yesterday afternoon.
According to reports, the tremor struck just before 1:55 p.m.
A subsequent Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology bulletin reported no damages nor were there aftershocks expected for the Negros Occidental town.
Quakes ranging between 1.0 and 3.0 in magnitude are often classified as a Level 1 on the Mercalli Intensity Scale, where the tremor goes almost undetected./WDJ
