Negros Occidental Governor-elect Eugenio Jose Lacson said he does not plan on changing Provincial Capitol department and division heads prior to taking office on July 1.
Lacson said the current provincial government heads are “fully capable of their tasks,” adding, he hopes to receive their full support and cooperation.
The newly-elected governor also said the only officials he would replace are the provincial administrator, provincial legal officer, executive assistants, and consultants, as they are also considered co-terminus employees.
Earlier, Lacson named Atty. Rayfrando Diaz as his provincial legal officer.
The incoming governor previously noted, he has already invited somebody to serve as provincial administrator and assured his administration would hire the minimum number of executive assistants, while scaling back on consultants.
Lacson confirmed a formal turnover will take place on June 27, with an oath-taking scheduled for June 29./DGB, WDJ
