Lacson earlier revealed the Hinoba-an plant project was suspended

Negros Occidental Governor-elect Eugenio Jose Lacson said his administration will continue the projects and programs started by his predecessor, outgoing Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr.
The incoming governor said he will pursue completion of the Negros First Animal Hub at the Panaad Park in Bacolod City, relocation of the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC) to Talisay City, and development of Murcia’s Mambukal Mountain Resort.
Lacson said he would like to see the animal hub utilized to its maximum capability, while construction on the new NOLITC buildings will soon begin.
He also expressed interest in continuing programs on agriculture, scholarships, and crop insurance.
Despite governor-elect earlier revealing the planned ship recycling facility in Hinoba-an’s Barangay Bacuyangan, a project enacted following a memorandum of agreement signed between Marañon, Jr. and executives from Tsuneishi Heavy Industries Inc. in 2016, was suspended, he did indicated plans to register the Southern Negros Industrial Estate, where the proposed facility would be located, with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority./DGB, WDJ
