The Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) secondary girls’ volleyball team kept their 2019 PRISAA National Games winning streak going after their 25-14, 25-18 win over Region V yesterday at the University of Mindanao-Matina in Davao City.
Kiesha Bedonia displayed pristine serving down the stretch for WVPRISAA in their third consecutive victory, which secured the squad a place in the semifinals.
“I am happy with their composure because kahit may mga non-calls tuloy lang sila sa laro (I am happy with their composure since, despite there being non-calls, they continued to play),” said team manager Jose Montalbo. “May mga hindi naitawag na double contacts dun sa opponents, especially in the second set, but that happens (There were instances in the second set when their opponents were not called for committing double contacts but that happens).”
Meanwhile, the WVPRISAA tertiary men’s volleyball team scored a 25-23, 25-21, 25-7 win over the Bicol Region and the tertiary women’s volleyball team beat the Davao Region.
