The Bacolod City government revealed preparations are underway for the city’s Charter Day observance, which falls on June 18. Ahead of preparations, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia issued an executive order creating a support committee for the event.
Based on RA 11146, which was signed into law last December, every June 18 is recognized as Bacolod City Charter Day and is observed as a special non-working holiday in the city.
The law also indicated highlights for the annual MassKara Festival are held every fourth Sunday of October and October 19 would be observed to mark the inauguration of the city’s first officials./DGB, WDJ
