WVPRISAA girls’

volleyball team goes 2-0

The Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) secondary girls’ volleyball team won their second straight match in the 2019 PRISAA National Games with a 25-8, 25-9 sweep over Region IX yesterday at the University of Mindanao-Matina in Davao City.
“The girls were able to follow our system well and all of them contributed in their own little way,” said WVPRISAA assistant coach Roberto Calamba. “The situation [allowed] us to try other combinations on the floor.”
The team, which is comprised of Bacolod Tay Tung High School players, next plays Region V this morning and Region XI tomorrow.
Meanwhile, in secondary boys’ basketball, the WVPRISAA kicked off their campaign with a 77-60 domination over Region XII.
In addition, the WVPRISAA tertiary men’s basketball team defeated the Cordillera Administrative Region./ASC, WDJ
