The Iloilo City Tourism and Development Office recently announced the Santacruzan Ciudad de Iloilo will be held on May 28, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

The annual parade is expected to take place in the city’s Mandurriao district, stretching from the Iloilo River Esplanade, along Diversion Road, to SM City Southpoint.

The event is expected to feature 40 participants wearing gowns crafted by local designers.

Afterwards, a mass will be held and the Santacruzan gowns will be on display at SM City Southpoint.

The ritual is part of the annual Flores de Mayo observance./WDJ
