According to Negros Occidental provincial elections supervisor, Atty. Tictac Villanueva, Negros Occidental saw around 75 percent voter turnout in last Monday’s midterm elections.

She noted, they currently have results transmitted from 20 localities but, as of press time, there are still 11 unaccounted for localities.

The elections official explained the delays were due to defective SD cards, which she explained are not corrupted but of poor quality and require replacements.

Villanueva added, they are currently unable to proceed with proclamations for some provincial candidates since their certificates of canvass cannot be printed yet./DGB, WDJ
