Ilonggo mixed martial artist Robin Catalan fell to Thailand’s Pongsiri Mitsatit in a first round stoppage loss last week in the ONE Championship “ONE: Warrior of Light” event at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Mitsatit opened aggressive as he pummeled Catalan with consecutive knees to the body until the Filipino was halted with three minutes left in the opening round.

The Iloilo City native has just come off an upset win over Indonesia’s Stefer Rahardian.

Now with a 9-5 win-loss record, including two stoppage wins, Catalan was denied an opportunity to be a contender in the ONE FC strawweight division./ASC, WDJ
