Iloilo turns up in Murcia

A ballot box meant for a polling precinct in Iloilo ended up in Murcia’s Barangay Canlandog yesterday morning.

The Murcia Commission on Elections (Comelec) office said they are currently unable to locate Barangay Canlandog’s ballot box but affirmed they acted immediately on the matter.

The local Comelec office said the ballot boxes they received were for Lemery, Iloilo.

The local elections supervisor has sought advice from the Comelec-Negros Occidental on how to proceed with voting./DGB, WDJ
