DepEd-6 ensures safety for teachers

The Department of Education-Region VI (DepEd-6) assured safety for teachers serving as Board of Election inspectors during Monday’s midterm elections.

According to DepEd-6 information officer Lea Belleza, the department developed an application to monitor the situation on the ground.

“Kon may ara kita pressing issues and concerns, maaksyunan dayun (If there are pressing issues or concerns, we will take action immediately),” she noted. “For example, may gin-harass nga teachers, dapat i-upload ina sa app para mabal-an sa babaw ang gakatabo (For example, in the event teachers are being harassed, the situation should be uploaded to the app in order to inform the higher-ups).”
